The weather
Fairly sunny: A transient ridge of high pressure will bring settled winter weather. In South Tyrol, northerly föhn conditions will temporarily develop.
Mountain weather
Along the mountains of the main Alpine ridge, light snowfall will ease during the early morning. Thereafter, conditions will become increasingly sunny. In the southern mountain groups, sunshine will prevail from the outset. In exposed areas, a cold and strong northerly wind will be blowing.
The next days
Variably cloudy: On Monday, cloud will once again dominate, and along the border with North Tyrol there may be intermittent light snowfall. The most favourable conditions, with occasional sunshine, are expected in the southern areas. On Tuesday, conditions will remain variably cloudy. Wednesday will bring persistent low stratus in some valleys. Elsewhere, a mix of high cloud and sunshine is expected. On Thursday, conditions will continue with a combination of low stratus and sunshine.
